If you wish to move to Russia as a Highly Skilled Specialist, you need to have the required qualifications. Russian Federation has specified the qualifications you should meet according to the position you are offered in Russia. These qualifications include education and work experience, achievements in a specific area of activity, and working conditions in the Russian Federation provide for your receipt of a salary (remuneration) of two million rubles a year or higher. Highly Skilled Specialist allows you to get a multiple-entry visa once for up to 3 years and renew it without leaving Russia. Upon first entry to Russia, you will need to obtain a Work Permit. You must arrange residence permits for you and your relatives (husband/wife, children under the age of eighteen as well as disabled children achieved mentioned age and is dependent on such highly qualified specialist) for the validity period of the labor agreement or civil-law agreement for works execution (services rendering) based on your application in written form to the federal body of executive authority in migration sphere. Then you can work in Russia and enjoy multiple trips throughout the visa validity period.

A Highly Skilled Migrant Specialist visa is permission in the form of an adhesive label printed and added to a traveler’s passport. It allows its holder to enter, stay, and leave Russia within a specified period.

It contains the following information:

  • the entry and exit dates,
  • the number of visits allowed,
  • vital information,
  • passport details,
  • their employer details that send you the invitation.

RUSSIAN HIGHLY SKILLED MIGRANT WORK VISA REQUIREMENTS

  1. Work visa Invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) if you don’t have one, please request it at info@dvservices.ca
  2. Please have the Invitation ready to complete the Visa Application Form. This form should be completed, saved, and submitted online here: https://visa.kdmid.ru and then printed out. Kindly ensure that the first page of your visa application form is signed and dated in the designated area. If an applicant is a minor, one of the parents must sign the application form. Unsigned visa application forms will not be accepted.
  3. If you have difficulties completing the Visa Application Form online, please email the complete the PDF form here and send it to info@dvservices.ca  the  additional charge of $50+tax, will be applied, including verification and corrections.
  4. An original HIV Test Certificate is done no longer than 90 days before applying is required (HIV test must be conducted via a blood sample) along with other required documents.
  5. Employment contract. You should submit the contract written and signed by your employer and you. It should be in Russian Language and give full details on you, dates, and purpose of the work. State the name of the inviting organization and contact details of the responsible person in Russia. It should also make clear on remuneration and providing medical insurance for the highly qualified specialist should be the basic condition of the labor agreement.
  6. Valid passport for the next 4 years and has at least 2 blank visa pages which do not need to be consecutive.
  7. One color photograph that must be professionally taken within the last six months; must be color and taken against a white background with the face in focus about 75%; size: 35mm X 45 mm (1 3/8’’ X 1 3/4’’); non-smiling (without sunglasses and head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background); printed on photographic paper and date stamped.
  8. Medical insurance.
  9. Non-Canadian and Non-US applicants must provide a copy of the document confirming their current resident status in Canada (PR Card, Landed Document, Work Permit).
  10. Former USSR or Russian Federation citizens who emigrated from the USSR or Russia before February 6, 1992, must provide a document confirming that they are no longer the citizens of the Russian Federation.

 

Please note: Consulates of the Russian Federation in Canada reserve the right to request additional documents such as bank statements, accommodation reservations, transportation tickets, proofs of family ties, additional letters from hosts, etc. as well as invite an applicant for an interview or extend visa processing time. The Document and Visa Cervices is not involved in the process of assessment of visa applications and shall not be liable or responsible for any delay by the Consulates of the Russian Federation in Canada, in assessing, granting, or refusing any visa application.
